Bible Engagement

Discipleship Hour

Sunday Mornings | 9:45-10:45am

In order to encourage and equip you to grow and live out your faith as a disciple in EVERY aspect of your life, we have dedicated time on Sunday mornings for devotion and obedience to God's Word with age-appropriate discipleship for all ages between services from 9:45-10:45am. A life of discipleship is about the journey along the way with those God has placed in our life, so that together, we grow as His loved, redeemed people in Jesus Christ. We’d love to have you join us on this journey of discipleship, and together we can continue Jesus’ Kingdom work in and through Gloria Dei!

Sermon Series Study | Chapel

Join us every Sunday in the Chapel, as we engage in God's Word together using the current sermon series themes and Scripture readings. Led by the pastoral staff of Gloria Dei, this Bible study will be an opportunity to unpack even more application of the sermons in our daily lives of discipleship. This class will also be available online to those who don't feel comfortable coming back on-campus. Click the link below to join us on our online streaming site.

Book of Mark | LC 210/212 | Ongoing

minor prophets bible studyThe Gospel of Mark was likely written in Rome during the mid-to-late 50s AD. John Mark, a former missionary companion of Paul and Barnabas, was in the city at that time as a close associate of Peter. He recorded the apostle’s teachings about Jesus. This account was intended primarily for a Gentile audience, introducing them to Jewish customs so they could understand that Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s plan for Israel and all of humanity. Mark’s Gospel is the shortest of the four, offering a straightforward, concise, and fast-paced narrative. Join us starting Sunday, February 2, as we explore the teachings and ministry of Jesus through the unique perspectives of Peter and Mark. Led by Gary Himmler and Richard Zalesak.

Men's Bible Engagement

Men's Bible Study | Tuesdays 6:45-8am | LC 214/216

Beginning September 26th we will begin a thirteen week study in Acts.

The theme of Acts is the spread of the Gospel to all the known world (1:8). Luke records the growth of the church in Jerusalem and Judea, Galilee and Samaria, Antioch, which became a missionary to the Gentile world, Asia, Europe and Rome. Luke centers in on Paul. Acts provides essential background information about the churches Paul founded and to whom he wrote his epistles.

Email Ron Petri with questions.

Women's Bible Classes

Wednesday Morning Classes | 9-11am | LC210-LC216

Wednesday morning Bible studies resumed on January 8, and we cannot wait to have you join us. Classes are held from 9-11am. All classes meet in LC210/212 for opening prayer before dispersing to separate classrooms. Ladies can choose from two classes:

LifeLight Study: Ezra and Nehemiah - Kathie Stocker is leading a LifeLight Study on Ezra and Nehemiah in LC210/212. She is an engaging teacher, and you will truly enjoy time in the Word with her and her group. LifeLight's Ezra and Nehemiah study is from the Old Testament at a point in time when Israel is returning from Exile. The people will need to rebuild their lives of worship, prayer, and purity while rebuilding the wall and renewing their covenant by asking God to remember them.

One in a Million by Priscilla Shirer - This seven-session class is looking at two Israelites who crossed the Jordan and entered into the Promised Land. Through this study, we will find direction for our own spiritual lives and learn to "expect to see God move miraculous ways in our everyday lives". This class is led by Debbie Baacke and will meet in LC214/216. We will use the One in a Million Bible Study Book which you can purchase from most booksellers. Our local Mardel had the book on the shelves, and you can also search online bookstores including Christianbook.comAmazon, and Lifeway. Please note, the Bible Study Book has a white cover with gold lettering. There is a separate book (light teal with white lettering) that you can also purchase, but it is not required for the Bible study.

Questions? Contact Lori Knutson. To be added to the email distribution list, please contact Beth Hranicky.

Wednesday Evening Classes | 6:30-8pm | ZOOM

Dixie Russo leads an engaging Bible study via Zoom. Her Wednesday evening classes will resume in February of 2025, so keep watching for more details and Dixie's next study.
